Training Announcement: Imagery and 3D Mapping for Governments on the Rural Edge

Free Webinar
Organization: Esri
Date: September 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM

Join Esri to learn how your organization can use imagery and GIS to improve how it conducts change analysis and assesses the impact of change due to development.

In this session, you will see how ArcGIS Pro can help you:
  • Manage imagery archives.
  • Work with historical imagery.
  • Implement a low-cost drone program.
  • Create 3D site modeling and visualization.
  • Extract features from imagery.
  • Work with LiDAR data and more

Please register here: https://go.esri.com/AKwebinar

Abstract: The “Rural Edge” is a sensitive zone that exists between urbanization and rural environments. As rural landscapes are transformed by development, the result is often irreversible change that has significant impacts on quality of life and the environment. The Rural Edge is found at all scales, whether it be the boundary of a major metropolitan area or a rapidly growing recreational area within an otherwise remote location. Esri, the Municipality of Anchorage, the Matanuska Susitna Borough, and the Alaska Department of Natural Resources have teamed up to demonstrate how up-to-date imagery and 3D data, from modern low-cost sources, can provide the most relevant geospatial information for understanding and managing change within the Rural Edge.
